Under the Tree – World Music Concert in Pune on October 20

WE THE ARTISTS – a new wave for promoting art and empowering artists is dedicated to providing artists a platform to showcase their talents, and the audience to a vision towards exploring various art forms. It is a connecting bridge between art enthusiasts and genuine artists.

We the Artists (WTA)’s unique initiative, a musical concert ‘UNDER THE TREE’ (UTT) – WORLD MUSIC CONCERT SERIES is one of its kind musical platform where people get to

witness some electrifying performances by emerging and established artists, with a blend of genres. The concert actually takes place under a big tree.

UTT is one such special initiative which is dedicated to celebrating different music and creating a platform for extraordinary musicians (artists with a talent).

Festival director Abhishek Kawitkar says, “We work towards connecting the musicians with the large, and meaningful audience, which not only allows the artists to get recognition, but also keeps the artists inspired, and motivated to live their passion.

Something quite special and unique about these concerts is its amazing venue and atmosphere. Each of these concerts takes place literally under the tree. The organisers believe a tree has a special characteristic of unconditionality bringing everyone together under it; UTT has integrated the same feature of uniting all musicians together under it. Unite them in order so that they get inspiration from each other, and share their passion towards music giving the audience a mesmerising experience as a takeaway.

Season one featured 50 established, and upcoming artists across India who performed in Pune at UTT.

Season two, Concert one of UTT is featuring Milind Date, – fusion ensemble!! One can Experience live fusion music never heard before. With the electrifying tunes of contemporary styles to the rhythmic beats of classical wisdom, the organisers leave no stone unturned to give the audience an unforgettable experience.

Their crowning glory Milind Date (EMMY Award Winner and GIMA Award nominee) is one of the most versatile musicians from India. Known for his immaculate bansuri, he has a wide repertoire,

dabbling in both Indian Classical and new-age music. Internationally acclaimed Derek Julien will grace with his electrifying guitar. Subash Deshpande on the keyboard, Abhay Ingle on the drums, Charudatta Phadke on the tabla, and bass guitarist Jacob Panicker.

Season two could not have asked for a better opening!
