MADHYA Pradesh Tourism recently organised a Virtual Road Show for Travel Agents and Tour Operators of Pune.
Madhya Pradesh, the Heart of Incredible India, has always offered an assortment of attractions to everyone who loves to travel. It has wildlife hotspots with 11 National parks and 24 Wildlife sanctuaries with rich Flora and Fauna. “The Tiger State of India” was also recently crowned as “Leopard State” for having the highest number of Leopard count in the State.
MPTB is working strategically towards getting more domestic tourists, promoting new travel circuits in different segments to the tourist exploring heritage, culture, adventure, wildlife, spiritual, rural and wellness destinations.
This event helps achieve the goals in promoting tourism products. MPTB is hoping that this roadshow will stimulate the curiosity in the Travel Agents and Tour Operators and they, in turn, will lead their guests to explore and experience Madhya Pradesh, said Sheo Shekhar Shukla, IAS, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Govt. of MP and Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board. He also assured full support of Madhya Pradesh tourism for the revival of domestic tourism between the states.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonia Meena, IAS, Addl Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board said, “We are in the process to build the confidence and trust amongst the travellers we have launched various campaigns during lockdown to keep in touch with travellers and our partners to ensure them that all the norms for safety against COVID-19 are being followed”.
The pandemic has changed the travel preferences of the tourist. Hence, the ‘Aas Paas Tourism’ campaign was launched to cater to the changing tourist needs of short-haul visits connecting Madhya Pradesh’s tourist destinations with neighbouring states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan, with a renewed emphasis on health safety of the visitors.
Madhya Pradesh is a versatile State having variety tourism products, they have activity-filled tourist destinations, wildlife safaris, natural scenic beauty, adventure activities, camping, water sports, Cuisines, Heritage, Tribal culture, Handicrafts, Wellness and Mindful Tourism and many more things to explore and experience. The State has also developed Home Stay, Gram Stay and Farm Stay schemes so that tourists can stay and experience rural culture and traditions of the State.”
Strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols and proactive compliance of safety measures have been the bedrock of Tourism campaign of the State.
A detailed presentation by Madhya Pradesh tourism highlighted the steps taken by Madhya Pradesh tourism to create an awareness to the local stakeholders on safety protocols and assured that all the necessary precautions are in place.
This roadshow is aimed to give a feel of Madhya Pradesh and facilitate a better understanding of the state and provide updated information along with showcasing the culture and the wide range of tourism products and offerings.
