Kartavya, helping the impoverished during crisis

HELP in the time of crisis is the true essence of humanity. So keeping that in mind and to observe the spirit of humanity, four Pune-based youth have come together to offer a helping hand to the impoverished families in the city and its surrounding areas. The team which includes Dr Gaurav Somani, Rohit Rathi, Vishal Modi and Vineet Rathi under the social enterprise called ‘Kartavya’ has been providing grocery kits to the needy during the on-going lockdown.

The team recently distributed the kits to 250 impoverished families in the Vadgaon Sheri area in presence of MLA Jagdish Mulik. Dr Gaurav Somani, Rohit Rathi, Vishal Modi, and Vineet Rathi were present on the occasion. For the next few days, the team will also deliver kits to about 500 families in Mulshi and Kothrud areas through the initiative.

The kit includes rice, cooking oil, red chilli powder, salt, soap as well as many other essential commodities, which will provide help to citizens in different parts of the city during the lockdown. As the cost of the kit is Rs 500, the team has urged more and more citizens to get involved in this work to help the needy.
