PUNE-based Vidyanchal High School is inviting entries for its 12th Annual Inter-School Monsoon Drawing Competition. The coronavirus may remain for a long time but all are learning to live with it rather than hoping to vanquish its threat.’
With this thought, this year it has been planned to conduct the drawing competition in a new way where students bring out their creativity from home. The idea is to beat the pandemic with the splash of colours and a dash of creativity.\
“Last year the competition had received 400 entries from various schools from across the city and this year, they are hopeful of increasing that number. The organisers are reaching out to schools from across Maharashtra and are planning to make this event bigger and grander,” said Sunita Phadke, Principal Vidyanchal High School.’
The competition is open to all schools from across Pune and Maharashtra for students of classes V to IX.”
The organisers have got on board acclaimed Artists Puneeta Ranjan and Chetana Sudame to judge the entries this year which will encourage students. The top three winners will get a one-on-one session with the artist where she will explain to them about the finer nuances of painting commercially and to make it as a career.
The last date to submit entries is July 4, 2020 and students can log on to www.vidyanchalschool.com to submit the same. The competition is free of cost for all schools.
