Honda 2Wheelers launch 2018 edition of DIO

HONDA Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd have made available the 2018 Dio across all dealerships. Offering more value to customers, Dio will also be available in a new deluxe variant.

Honda’s LED promise now extends to Dio with all new LED headlamp and position lamp add to the distinct bold front image of the moto-scooter. Adding convenience is a four-in-one lock with seat opener switch, front hook, and retractable rear hook. The moto-scooter is now fitted with metal muffler protector. In addition to the standard features, the deluxe variant gains a new fully digital meter (with three-step eco speed indicator and service due indicator) for efficient riding. Adding more to the premium appeal are first in class signature gold rims and trendy colour options.

Speaking on the availability of 2018 Dio, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India said, “Taking ahead the 15-year legacy of Dio, the 2018 avatar is available in two variants. More youthful than ever – with stylish new looks, new digital meter, three-step eco speed indicator and service due indicator, new Dio raises the bar even further. Dio is also the largest exported scooter from India and has crossed five lakh exports milestone.”

Powering the Dio is Honda’s trusted 110cc HET (Honda Eco Technology) engine with a perfect balance between mileage and power. The engine promises improved combustion, reduced friction and better cooling to bring out the best performance. Customers can also get an optional mobile charging socket to charge their smartphones on the go.

Dio comes equipped with Combi Brake System (CBS) with equaliser technology as standard. The unique equaliser in Honda’s advanced Combi Brake System (CBS) distributes braking force between front and rear wheels simultaneously, resulting in reduced braking distance and improved balance compared to conventional braking.

2018 Dio is now available in nine attractive colours and two variants – standard and deluxe. The standard trim is offered in vibrant orange/pearl sports yellow/sports red/candy jazzy blue/matte axis grey metallic. The deluxe variant is available in dazzle yellow metallic / matte marshal green metallic/pearl igneous black/matte axis grey metallic. The 2018 Dio is attractively priced starting at Rs. 51,292 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
