LARSEN & Toubro’s Leadership Development Academy (LDA) at Lonavala, built by Building & Factories business, has been awarded the prestigious Gold Rating under the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), Green Campus certification.
IGBC Green Campus certification encourages implementation of green concepts and techniques to address national priorities like conserving natural resources, demand-side energy, and water efficiency, adoption of renewable energy, management of consumer waste, occupant health and comfort and biodiversity.

IGBC evaluated LDA’s 24-acre landscaped campus in eight parameters. Site planning and management, sustainable transport, water conversation, energy efficiency, material and resource management, and wellbeing, Green education, and Innovation & Development.
To preserve the pristine purity of its environment, LDA has put in place policies, practices, and processes that will ensure a minimal carbon footprint. Generating substantial power through solar panels, recycling of wastewater, battery operated cars for conveyance, expert horticulturists’ supervised landscaping facility, green – field medicinal plant area and a nursery are few of LDA’s green initiatives.
