Infoys reduces per capita water usage

INFOSYS, in its continuous pursuit to be a sustainability leader, recently released its

11th Annual Sustainability Report. The report provides an in-depth understanding of the economic, social and environmental practices Infosys undertakes across its business in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative G4 (Comprehensive) guidelines.

In line with its sustainability initiatives, Infosys focused its efforts on enhancing environmental performance by reducing emissions, becoming water sustainable, increasing the use of renewable energy and contribution to biodiversity. The various sustainability initiatives at Pune campus have resulted in a significant reduction of approximately 25 per cent in per capita water usage. Apart from innovative projects on resource conservation Pune campus also has 1,593 kW of installed rooftop solar PV.

In addition to being the largest corporate campus in the world to gain the LEED existing building Platinum certification in 2016-17, Pune campus has also been part of a green fuel bus pilot program, aimed at making employee transport carbon neutral at Pune campus.
