Talking about Breast Cancer

By Priyanka Jadhav

THE topic, ‘Breast Cancer’ might scare us, but it is better to know facts than to stay unaware of them.

Hence, CRB Tech took an initiative to educate our women trainees and employees on a very sensitive topic and create the much-needed awareness, about Breast Cancer with the help of Cancer Care Peer Support Team, Pune. CRB Tech was able to organise an informative session on this topic.

The session was conducted on January 13, 2018, by two energetic representatives from Cancer Care Peer Support, Pune. Dr Kalpana Gupte and Jyotsna Bhosale initiated and conducted the session.

They began by singing a powerful song on Breast Cancer, which was written by the team itself. This made the participants catch up on the real face of the disease and the affects of it if not taken proper care of. Such a powerful beginning just engrossed the present participants into the more informative discussion.

Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. A mammogram – the screening test for breast cancer – can help find breast cancer early when it's easier to treat.

The Cancer care team representatives explained and discussed on:

  • What we need to know about cancer
  • When Breast Cancer spreadsWarning signs of Breast Cancer
  • Ways to screen for Breast Cancer
  • Breast Cancer in men
  • Breast Cancer stages.
